DLSAA Special General Assembly

The De La Salle Alumni Association (DLSAA) held the first DLSAA Special General Assembly (SGA) last March 3, 2018 (Saturday), 3:00 PM, at A1103, Br. Andrew Gonzales Building, De La Salle University. DLSAA called for the Special General Assembly to ratify the BOTs-approved revisions to the existing by-laws and to approve the delegation to the DLSAA Board of Directors the power to subsequently introduce amendments and/or revisions to the by-laws. About 31 active members of DLSAA participated in the SGA.

The SGA started off with DLSAA President Dr. Nelson Arboleda Jr. introducing the DLSAA Board of Trustees followed by the DLSAA Corporate Secretary Atty. Justin Sucgang discussing the agenda for the special meeting.

After the introduction, the members present in the general assembly participated in revising the existing by-laws and voted for its ratification. With a total vote of 28, the DLSAA by-laws have been officially ratified and will take effect once approved by the Securities and Exchange Commission.

Immediately after voting, the members proceeded to discuss the next item in the agenda, the delegation to the DLSAA Board of Directors the power to introduce amendments and/or revisions to the by-laws. With two votes short of the required 2/3 number of the general assembly, the members of the general assembly revoked the motion.

The SGA was adjourned at 3:50 PM.
