With a sharp mind and steady hand, Fronda elevated the game of chess to an art form. Thanks to her wits, she has won numerous distinctions, making her a fierce competitor in both national and international chess tournaments. Fronda was part of the Board 4 Gold, Champion Team and earned the title of Rookie of the Year (RoY) and Most Valuable Player (MVP) during Season 73 of the UAAP Awards. For season 74, Fronda was part of the Board 3 Gold, Champion team. She was also awarded Most Valuable Player (MVP) and part of the Board 3 Silver, Champion Team. During the UAAP Awards Season 75, she won as Board 1 Gold, Champion Team and was named MVP. Fronda was also Athlete of the Year (AoY) for Season 76 and helped La Salle become four-peat champions. It was in 2013 when Fronda bested International Master (IM) Ayelen Martinez of Argentina during round 10 of the World Junior Chess Championship held in Kocaeli, Turkey. Aside from her impressive winning track, Fronda is a 2012 Member of the National Chess team and has been distinguished as a Chess International Master. Her complex and well-executed strategies have been extensively studied online by enthusiasts, gaining her a strong following within chess circles in the Philippines and overseas.
