Justice Teodoro R. Padilla has left a legacy of exemplary service which has enriched the country's jurisprudence. Being an Associate Justice of the Supreme Court from 1987 — 1997, he enacted a number of key decisions and was known for having strong opinions on matters that affect society. Some of his many accomplishments include receiving the 1991 Most Outstanding UP Law Alumni Award and the Papal Knighthood in the Order of St. Gregory the Great, and serving as Chairman of the First Division of the Supreme Court and the Electoral Tribunal. To this day, the Lasallian values he exemplified during his career still resonate with his family, friends, colleagues and many others.
