From the 1940’s to 1950’s, Ignacio L. Vicente became one of the country’s earliest football champions. He was a key player of the Football Senior Team, bagging the championship in 1948. Afterwards, he became part of the Philippine National Team, which includes other fellow Lasallians. He is the father of known Lasallian football athletes, Iñaki and Robbie Vicente. He was inducted into the Sports Hall of Fame in 2011.
