for his powerful performance in the arena of international bowling, catapulting him to multiple bemedalled victories in the Southeast Asian (SEA) and Asian Games, highlighted by his gold medal triumph in the 1989 SEA Games
Sablan has been a consistent performer in the world of bowling and frequently represented the country in numerous prestigious events. In 1988, he won the silver at the International Youth Bowling Championships in Manila for all events. He then won the gold medal at the 1989 Southeast Asian Games (SEA Games) in Malaysia. In 1991, he got silver at the World FIQ Bowling Championships in Singapore during the team of 5 event. Sablan got the bronze medal at the Asian Games in Thailand in the Singles Event in 1998. He was also a member of the Philippine National Team from 1987-1998. He has won 3 times in the 800 series, got 19 perfect 300 games, and won 10 local titles.
